About the position

The Structural Engineer Assistant position is designed for recent graduates or current students in Structural or Civil Engineering. This role focuses on assisting in the creation of structural drawings for residential projects while ensuring compliance with California Building Codes. The position offers hands-on experience that contributes towards obtaining a Professional Engineering (PE) license, under the supervision of a licensed Structural Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating structural drawings for residential projects.
• Ensure drawings comply with California codes and standards.
• Work closely with the design team to produce accurate and thorough structural plans.

Requirements

• Must be a student or recently graduated in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge of California Building Codes is a must.
• Currently working towards or planning to obtain a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on projects from concept through to completion.
