About the position

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Structural Engineer Project Manager to join our dynamic team at a prominent engineering firm known for delivering innovative and high-quality engineering solutions across a wide variety of projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all structural engineering deliverables meet industry standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the analysis, design, and detailing of structural systems, and will be responsible for overseeing structural engineering projects from inception through completion. This includes ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural systems into overall project designs. The Senior Structural Engineer will develop and analyze structural designs for various project types, including civic, commercial, industrial, residential, bridges, education, healthcare, and infrastructure. The role requires conducting site visits to assess conditions, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards. Additionally, the engineer will oversee the preparation of detailed drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all technical documentation. Continuous improvement is a key aspect of this position, as the engineer will stay informed about the latest developments in structural engineering techniques, materials, and best practices to enhance project design and outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze structural designs for various project types including Civic, Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Bridges, Education, Healthcare, and Infrastructure.
  • Oversee structural engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural systems into overall project designs.
  • Ensure all structural designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
  • Identify and resolve structural engineering issues and challenges, providing innovative and practical solutions.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in structural engineering techniques, materials, and best practices to enhance project design and outcomes.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred; Engineer in Training (EIT) will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience leading a variety of project types including Corporate Commercial, Civic, Residential, Industrial Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Education.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, including RAM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoys working on multiple projects.
