Your work will involve conducting site inspections to assess conditions, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards. You will also collaborate closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural systems into overall project designs. As a Senior Structural Engineer Project Manager, you will be expected to stay informed about the latest developments in structural engineering techniques, materials, and best practices to enhance project design and outcomes. This position requires a strong problem-solving mindset, as you will need to identify and resolve structural engineering issues and challenges, providing innovative and practical solutions. Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze structural designs for a variety of project types including Civic, Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Bridges, Education, Healthcare, and Infrastructure, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Oversee structural engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Oversee preparation of detailed drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Work closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural systems into overall project designs.
  • Ensure all structural designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
  • Identify and resolve structural engineering issues and challenges, providing innovative and practical solutions.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in structural engineering techniques, materials, and best practices to enhance project design and outcomes.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred; Engineer in Training (EIT) will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience leading a variety of project types including Corporate Commercial, Civic, Residential, Industrial Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Education.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, including RAM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoys working on multiple projects.
