About the position

The Structural Design Engineer 3 position involves developing, integrating, and documenting structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system design. The role requires the use of 3-D Computer Aided Design tools to create and modify designs, ensuring they meet specifications and requirements. The engineer will also manage supplier development and production activities, investigate emerging technologies, and work under general direction to improve design processes and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document structural and interior payload system requirements.
• Create and modify structural designs using 3-D CAD tools.
• Integrate analytical and test results to validate systems and components.
• Manage supplier development and production activities.
• Investigate emerging technologies for future product designs.
• Work under the guidance of technical leads and front-line managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
• 5 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• US Citizenship required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ABET accredited programs.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies in structural design.
