About the position

The Structural Design Engineer (EIT) position involves designing structural systems for various markets, including water/wastewater, military, justice, education, commercial, and marine. The role requires a strong understanding of structural engineering principles and the ability to perform calculations and modeling using relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural engineering calculations with a thorough understanding of ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
• Design shallow and deep foundations, two-way concrete slabs, and steel composite floor systems.
• Develop moment, braced, and dual structural lateral load systems, and shear walls.
• Utilize structural analysis software and structural modeling techniques.
• Create Revit models, drawings, sections, and details.
• Conduct site visits and prepare field observation reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• 2 to 6 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Proficiency in Revit is required.
• Experience with Concrete, Structural Steel, and Masonry design.
