About the position

The Structural Design Engineering Summer Internship offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the precast concrete wall systems industry. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals, providing valuable insights and feedback that can positively impact the organization. This role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and the development of skills relevant to safety, quality, project management, and operations within the manufacturing and construction sectors.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in diverse areas of the business such as Safety, Quality, Project Management, Plant and Field Operations.
• Provide feedback and pursue ideas that have a positive impact on the organization.
• Receive mentorship and coaching from experienced professionals.
• Understand how unique strengths and skills can create value for both the intern and the business.
• Get exposure to different processes and systems involved in designing, manufacturing, and installing buildings.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher in an undergraduate degree program that aligns with the intern location.
• Positive and helpful attitude.
• Interest in manufacturing and construction business operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to visit plant, yard, and project sites.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in quality assurance, manufacturing or construction.
