About the position

Join our team as a Structural Drafter, primarily focusing on the concrete precast department. In this role, you will lead the design of precast structures for various facilities including parking structures, hospitals, warehouse facilities, commercial office buildings, educational institutions, data centers, and justice facilities. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that these structures meet the necessary specifications and standards, contributing to the overall success of our projects. As a Structural Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans that will guide the construction of these precast structures. You will work closely with engineers and architects to ensure that all designs are accurate and feasible. This position requires a strong understanding of architectural and structural design principles, as well as proficiency in relevant drafting software. You will also be expected to stay updated on industry trends and advancements in drafting technology, particularly in the use of Revit. This is a fully on-site position located in Omaha, Nebraska, where you will be part of a high-tech, family-friendly work environment. The company promotes a business casual dress code, with more casual attire allowed on Fridays. Work hours are from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with no overtime expected. We offer flexible paid time off (PTO) to accommodate your personal needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of precast structures for various facilities.

  • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for drafting tasks.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in drafting with a civil/architectural focus (not MEP).
  • Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD.
  • Revit proficiency (preferred).
  • Ability to read specifications and plans.
  • 1 year of Architectural/Structural Design experience (preferred).

Nice-to-haves

  • Desire to learn and adapt new skills, particularly Revit.
