About the position

Urban Engineers is seeking a qualified Structural Engineer - Design to join the Design Services Department in New York City. This full-time position focuses on supporting upcoming structural design projects in the area, emphasizing collaboration, client relationship building, and timely delivery of design deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural design deliverables
• Work with marketing team for the pursuit of structural design opportunities
• Build client relationships and subconsultant partnerships
• Manage deliverables to preset timelines

Requirements

• Ten (10) years of building and/or transportation Structural design experience
• Ten (10) years of experience with structural design building codes
• Knowledge of relevant structural design modeling software
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment required
• BS in Structural Engineering required
• Professional Engineering license in NY required
• MS in Structural Engineering preferred
• Professional Engineering license in NJ preferred
• Extensive communication experience required
