About the position

KPFF is seeking full-time structural engineering professionals who are self-motivated and eager to enhance their knowledge of structural engineering while gaining practical experience. The role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration across all levels of the organization, fostering a culture of social engagement, educational opportunities, and technical training. The position offers numerous avenues for professional growth, with individual accomplishments and successful projects shaping career trajectories. This is an exempt position with paid overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members on structural engineering projects.
  • Engage in problem-solving and technical discussions with colleagues.
  • Participate in educational programs and technical training sessions.
  • Contribute to project documentation and organization.
  • Assist in research and information gathering related to engineering tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structures.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team with diverse individuals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid technical skills and ability to independently plan and organize tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA or above in Bachelor's coursework.
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structures.
  • Previous intern or full-time experience in a Structural or Civil Engineering role.
  • EIT Certification.
