As a Permanent Structural Engineer at Jobot, you will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and testing of various structures, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and compliant with all regulatory requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing structures such as buildings, bridges, and tunnels. You will utilize AutoCAD to create detailed designs and blueprints, ensuring that all projects meet safety standards and are completed on time and within budget. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers throughout the project lifecycle. Regular site visits will be part of your responsibilities to monitor construction progress and make necessary adjustments to designs as needed. Additionally, you will perform calculations and simulations to ensure that structures can withstand natural disasters, such as earthquakes and hurricanes. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that all designs comply with building codes and regulations, and you will be responsible for obtaining the necessary permits for construction. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks effectively is crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze structures such as buildings, bridges, and tunnels to ensure they meet safety standards and are efficient.
  • Use AutoCAD to create detailed designs and blueprints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters Degree in Engineering
  • Professional License (CE or SE)
