About the position

The Structural Engineer III position is a hybrid role focused on analyzing and developing structural engineering specifications for various materials and products. The role requires a strong background in structural engineering, with responsibilities that include conducting evaluations, assessments, and investigations in a fast-paced industrial environment. This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension, aimed at candidates with relevant educational qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, researches, and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite materials.
  • Conducts structural evaluations and building assessments, including code reviews and interpretations.
  • Responds to emergent safety-related issues in a large industrial facility setting.
  • Assists with unplanned event investigations and performs root cause analysis.
  • Utilizes tools such as CATIA, IDEAS, and ProEngineer for structural modeling and analysis.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited program and 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with no experience required.
  • Experience in structural engineering, including performing evaluations and assessments.
  • Strong project management, communication, organizational, and computer skills.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay ranging from $42.53 to $54.58 per hour.
  • Full-time contract position with expected hours of no less than 40 per week.
