Structural Engineer III

We’re looking for a full-time, staff Structural Engineer III to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in either Greenville SC, Charlotte NC, or Remote.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or checks structural calculations, sketches, specifications and supports development of design drawings prepared by designers.
• Provides technical guidance for the pertinent portions of the assigned projects including review of vendor documents and shop drawings.
• Develops and monitors project scopes and schedule for applicable discipline. Identifies changes in scope and their impact, as they occur.
• Provides coordination of design efforts with other disciplines, subcontractors, construction and client personnel.
• Monitors and ensures design work and documents are correct, consistent with applicable codes, logically presented and constructible.
• When responsible for work, stamps required project documents as a PE or SE.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with emphasis on structural.
• Experience: 6+ years.
• PE license strongly preferred.
• Project execution knowledge and familiarity with ACI, AISC, IBC, ASCE standards.
• Leadership skills.
• Organizational skills and rigging engineering experience is a plus.
• Depth in structural engineering and ability to communicate technical solutions clearly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, RISA or STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, and Lpile.

• Competitive salary range of $102,880 - $154,320.
