About the position

As a Senior Structural Engineer specializing in Industrial Facilities, you will play a pivotal role in the design and analysis of structural systems for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. This position requires a deep understanding of structural engineering principles, as well as the ability to apply them to both new constructions and upgrades of existing structures. You will be responsible for ensuring that all designs conform to recognized codes and standards, as well as meeting client specifications. Your work will involve conducting site investigations, performing detailed engineering analyses, and drafting structural designs using advanced modeling software. In this role, you will engage in a range of activities including structural engineering, drafting, and 3D modeling. You will be expected to produce structural details and perform comprehensive analyses to support your designs. A strong emphasis will be placed on communication, as you will need to collaborate effectively with various project teams and stakeholders. Regular visits to project sites will be necessary to collect data, observe construction progress, and ensure that the implementation aligns with the design specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. You should have a solid knowledge of steel, concrete, and timber design, along with familiarity with industry codes such as IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC. Proficiency in engineering analysis software and tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and RISA 3D, is essential. Additionally, strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with clients and team members. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, and a Structural Engineer (SE) license is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design structural systems and components for various commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Ensure designs conform to recognized codes and standards as well as client requirements.
  • Conduct site investigations and structural engineering drafting for both front-end planning and detailed engineering phases.
  • Perform structural analysis and design using the latest engineering software and techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
  • Knowledge of steel, concrete, and timber design, and familiarity with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
  • Experience with engineering analysis software and techniques.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, RISA 3D, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; Structural Engineer (SE) license is a plus.
