As a Structural Engineer in Indianapolis, IN, you will play a vital role in projects that are central to our clients' businesses, particularly in the life sciences sector. You will be responsible for the schedule and technical quality of complex engineering tasks, ensuring that you meet the client's expectations regarding scope, budget, and timeline. In this role, you will provide on-site assistance during project startup and coordinate work activities with other team members and the discipline lead. You will be part of a multi-discipline, highly interactive team that designs building structures, equipment platforms, building foundations, multiple pipe supports (MPS), and equipment/tank support systems. Your technical expertise will also allow you to mentor other professionals, fostering an environment of learning and growth that enhances overall team engagement and improvement. Responsibilities

  • Accountable for schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks.
  • Gain familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Provide on-site assistance during project startup.
  • Coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
  • Produce designs for building structures, equipment platforms, building foundation design, MPS, and equipment/tank support systems.
  • Mentor other professionals to enhance team skills and engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in engineering design of building structural systems.
  • Working knowledge of building codes.
  • Working proficiency in STAAD and STAAD Pro.
  • Collaborative work ethic to achieve overall project delivery goals.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Engineering License or path to obtain.
  • Previous leadership experience of structural engineers and designers.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
