About the position

As a Structural Engineer, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to enabling the heart of our clients' business. Our department is headquartered in Cincinnati, OH, with team members located across North America. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the structural design for new state-of-the-art facilities as well as existing structural upgrades. In this role, you will be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks, gaining familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule for assigned tasks. You will effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects. We are looking for someone who brings curiosity, a talent for multi-tasking and collaboration, and exceptional organizational skills. Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze building structures for new and existing facilities.
  • Ensure technical quality and adherence to schedules for assigned engineering tasks.
  • Communicate scope and design changes effectively and promptly.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on various projects.
  • Utilize structural analytical software for design and analysis tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelors' Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a Structural focus.
  • At least 5 years of Structural Engineering Experience.
  • Experience in the analysis and design of building structures.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Structural Engineering Registration (SE).
  • Experience with STAAD.Pro, Ram Elements, RISA, or other structural analytical software.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting and 3D/BIM modeling.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk REVIT.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Eager to learn best practices and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in various teams.
  • Passionate about buildings and construction.
