About the position
The Structural Engineer (Mid to Senior Level) at AMG, Inc. is responsible for performing calculations, conducting structural analysis, and designing structures. This role involves collaboration with various engineering disciplines and the design staff, utilizing CAD software to create detailed designs. The position is primarily based in Dayton, OH, with some flexibility for remote work, and reports to the Structural Department Manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform calculations and conduct structural analysis.
- Design structures according to building codes and standards.
- Collaborate with various engineering disciplines and design staff.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs.
- Ensure compliance with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC & ACI design requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a structural engineering firm.
- Successful completion of the FE exam; PE license preferred but not required.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with structural analysis modeling software (STAAD, RAM, RISA).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & Revit.
- Experience on industrial projects.
