As a Structural Engineer, you will design and analyze nuclear power plant structures using advanced engineering principles. You will prepare, review, and approve engineering change packages to ensure compliance with design requirements and industry standards. Additionally, you will develop and maintain technical reports and documentation related to structural design and analysis. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams will be essential as you work to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering problems. Your role will also involve ensuring that all designs adhere to safety regulations and standards, including ACI and ASIC codes. You will conduct structural integrity assessments and provide recommendations for improvements. Participation in design reviews, safety assessments, and other project meetings will be part of your responsibilities, along with providing technical support to construction and operations teams as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze nuclear power plant structures using advanced engineering principles.
  • Prepare, review, and approve engineering change packages to ensure compliance with design requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical reports and documentation related to structural design and analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within the nuclear energy industry.
  • Proficiency in designing and analyzing structural systems for nuclear power plants.
  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Packages and the preparation of technical reports.
  • Strong knowledge of ACI and ASIC codes, as well as other relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative engineering solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating strong collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
