About The Position
Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a Junior Level Structural Engineer specializing in Offshore Wind to join our team dedicated to the planning and design of ports that support the offshore wind (OSW) industry. This position will primarily focus on conducting site selection studies and feasibility analyses for proposed OSW ports, as well as evaluating existing port infrastructure to determine its suitability for OSW applications. The successful candidate will collaborate with our OSW port logistics modeling team to create and analyze port models, ensuring that operational requirements are met through effective port layouts and concept designs. In this role, you will be expected to stay current with industry trends and the US and international work pipeline related to offshore wind. You will coordinate with various design teams, including structural, civil, electrical, and mechanical, to ensure comprehensive project delivery. Periodic site visits and field investigations will be part of your responsibilities, allowing you to gather essential data and insights for project development. Additionally, you will attend client meetings and produce effective presentations and reports tailored to our OSW port clients.
