About the position

The Structural Engineer position at EFI Global involves investigating structural failures and providing expert opinions on various engineering assignments. This remote role requires expertise in structural damage assessment and failure analysis across commercial, residential, and industrial structures. Responsibilities

• Determine the origin and cause of structural failures including roof damage, water intrusion, and post-fire damage.
• Conduct investigations to assess damages and document the scope of damage caused by acute events.
• Analyze and document failure analysis and causation of failures.
• Collaborate with other investigators to produce detailed reports outlining the cause and origin of losses and damages.
• Serve as an expert witness in court and/or depositions.
• Document and maintain billable hours for failure analysis and forensic engineering projects.

Requirements

• Professional Engineering (PE) license required, with preference for multi-state licensing and/or active NCEES Record.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Expert witness testimony experience is a plus.
