The successful candidate will join our engineering and project teams, which are dedicated to providing resilient engineering designs for the United States infrastructure. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to tackle complex challenges in various construction types across multiple industry sectors. As a Structural Engineer, you will lead challenging projects managed by the Pacific Northwest Water and Wastewater Group, as well as the Fisheries Group. Your work will encompass a diverse range of projects, from local and regional initiatives to overseas assignments, providing unique engineering experiences. Typical projects may include water and wastewater treatment plants, headworks facilities, pump stations, and support structures such as administration and storage buildings. Additionally, you may work on fisheries projects that involve conservation and enhancement hatcheries, research facilities, acclimation facilities, fish passage, fish collection and sorting, and aquaculture-related infrastructure. You will interface with clients throughout the design and construction process, support junior engineers, prepare and check design calculations of structural systems, and write forensic and investigation reports. Utilizing advanced structural engineering software tools, particularly RISA software, you will ensure compliance with local and state building codes while participating in construction administration activities as required by the project.
