About the position

Holmes is seeking Structural Project Engineers to join their international design firm. The role involves planning and conducting design work on building structures, requiring sound judgment in engineering techniques. Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct design work on building structures.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques for various project types including concrete, steel, masonry, and wood.
  • Collaborate with project teams internally and externally to deliver projects.
  • Mentor junior technical staff.

Requirements

  • B.S. and/or M.S. Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred if having worked for 4+ years.
  • Seismic design experience or education.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including listening and questioning.
  • Strong written communication skills, including report writing.
  • Presentation skills for team talks and project presentations.
  • Time management skills.
  • Intermediate MS Word, Advanced MS Excel, Intermediate ETABS, SAP, Risa (or equivalent).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Sound technical skills in structural engineering design principles.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
