About the position

The Structural Engineer - Project Engineer will be responsible for designing and detailing building structures for various industrial and commercial design-build projects. This role involves coordinating designs with other in-house disciplines and providing construction administration support throughout the project lifecycle. The engineer will also perform necessary analyses, develop construction drawings, and conduct site visits during construction.

Responsibilities

• Design and detail building structures for industrial/commercial projects.
• Coordinate designs with other in-house disciplines.
• Provide construction administration support to field staff.
• Select structural systems and perform necessary analysis and calculations.
• Develop construction drawings and specifications.
• Self-perform drafting and technical reports.
• Review shop drawings and conduct site visits during construction.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant experience in Structural Design.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Professional licensure in the state of KY.
• Knowledge of the International Building Code and associated standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI).
• Strong comprehension of load path, whole building systems, and mechanics of building materials.
• Experience in production of construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for drafting and corrections.
• Familiarity with RAM or similar structural analysis software.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience overseeing projects from proposal to completion.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other designers.
