About the position

The Structural Engineer role at Hunt Hive Talent Recruiting Agency involves innovative design engineering and support throughout the construction process. The position requires a dynamic individual with a passion for structural engineering and a proven track record in managing heavy civil projects. The engineer will be responsible for performing structural calculations, overseeing bridge erection and demolition, and ensuring the stability of various structures during construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform and/or review structural calculations, develop plans, and schedule tasks to meet client needs.
• Design and oversee bridge erection & demolition, cofferdam design, critical crane lifts, and excavation support.
• Conduct structural analysis to ensure stability during the temporary condition of new bridges, viaducts, buildings, tunnels, and other structures.
• Evaluate existing structures for construction loads and/or demolition planning.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of the design deliverables.
• Identify design risks and assist with risk mitigation planning.
• Assist in project management, including budgets, schedules, quality control, and client communication.
• Provide on-site design engineering support, on-site inspections, and training and mentoring E.I.T.s.

Requirements

• Experience with temporary structures and/or construction engineering.
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Masters degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure (PE) or eligibility within the United States.
• Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Civil 3D, Finite Element Analysis Software.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.
• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
