FSB Architects + Engineers is expanding and is on the lookout for Structural Engineers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be expected to handle small to mid-sized projects with minimal supervision, while also being capable of tackling complex projects with appropriate guidance. You will engage in structural modeling of framing systems using RISA-3D, develop comprehensive construction documents from inception to completion, and possess a solid understanding of framing detailing and foundation/steel/concrete design. Collaboration is key, as you will coordinate projects with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients, ensuring that all aspects of the project align with applicable building codes. Additionally, you will be responsible for calculating structural loads, recommending suitable structural system types, writing specifications, and performing site visits to relevant projects.

Responsibilities

  • Able to work on small to mid-sized projects with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work on complex projects with supervision and guidance.
  • Structural modeling of framing system using RISA-3D.
  • Develop, from start to finish, a full set of construction documents.
  • Has experience in framing detailing and foundation/steel/concrete design.
  • Coordinate projects with architects, engineers, project managers and clients.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes.
  • Calculate structural loads and recommend structural system types.
  • Specification writing.
  • Perform site visits to applicable projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering with a focus in structures.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as Structural Engineer or Design in the A&E industry.
  • Revit experience preferred.
  • Building Structural Engineering background required.
