About the position

Actalent is seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to join their team in Beaverton, Oregon. This role offers opportunities for both entry-level and experienced candidates to grow their careers in engineering. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for solving technical issues, providing expert consultation, managing projects, and ensuring quality control while adhering to budget constraints.

Responsibilities

• Solves major technical issues, develops engineering standards and guidelines, and sets program objectives and requirements.
• Evaluates projects, offers cost-effective design recommendations, oversees design approaches, and makes final design decisions.
• Provides expert advice and consultation across the company within their area of expertise.
• Ensures adherence to budget constraints.
• Actively participates in quality control processes.
• Promotes company services.
• Conducts technical training workshops and mentors less experienced engineers and technical professionals.
• May manage routine to semi-complex projects, including marketing, contract negotiation, budgeting, financial management, schedule coordination, and resource allocation.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, with a preference for M.S. or graduate-level technical coursework.
• Licensed Structural Engineer with NY and NJ P.E. licenses.
• Over 15 years of diverse experience in structural design and multi-disciplinary project management.
• Management and supervision of design package deliverables for both traditional and alternate delivery projects.
• Technical supervision and project management roles.
