About the position

The Stress Engineer position involves performing static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis for aircraft structures. The role requires a strong understanding of load paths and the ability to extract loads from Finite Element Models to ensure structural integrity. The engineer will work with both metallic and composite structures and will coordinate with various cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis for aircraft structures.
  • Use classical hand calculation methods to analyze primary and secondary structures.
  • Understand load paths and extract loads from Finite Element Models.
  • Determine critical failure modes and perform analysis to ensure structural integrity.
  • Analyze both metallic and composite structures.
  • Determine dispositions for structural non-conformances.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional groups including Design, Materials & Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Liaison Engineering.
  • Participate in review meetings with customers and suppliers.
  • Generate and review engineering stress reports.
  • Interact with customers to prepare Scope of Work and lay down execution methodology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
