About the position

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our expanding structural team. This role provides structural engineering design and construction phase support on a range of projects. The candidate's work will include computer modeling of building foundation and superstructure systems, design of structural elements, preparation of structural drawings, and construction administration tasks. The position requires the application of standard engineering design principles and sound engineering judgment to accomplish work assignments. The candidate will be responsible for keeping clear records of all design calculations and work products, ensuring that all engineering tasks are completed with precision and adherence to industry standards. As part of the structural team, the Structural Engineer will engage in various projects that require a deep understanding of structural design and the ability to collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of progressive structural engineering experience. Professional license a plus, but not required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. Master of Science degree a plus.
  • Knowledge of concrete, steel, and masonry design codes, as well as local and national building codes a plus.
  • Ability to work in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong interpersonal, problem solving, and team skills.
  • US Person - Eligible to work at aerospace and defense companies with export restrictions. US person is defined as a US Citizen or permanent resident.
