About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Structural Engineer to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position where you will be a key player in designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of new manufacturing facilities and the improvement of existing ones. You will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and durability of the infrastructure, as well as optimizing manufacturing processes for efficiency and safety. This role requires a deep understanding of structural engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. As a Structural Engineer, you will design and analyze structural systems for manufacturing facilities using advanced software tools such as RISA and FEA. You will develop detailed structural designs for steel structures, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. Conducting soil compaction tests and making necessary recommendations to ensure the stability of structures will also be part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with project managers, architects, and other professionals on the design and implementation of manufacturing facilities is essential to ensure project success. You will review blueprints, plans, and change orders to ensure structural soundness and conduct site inspections to ensure structures are built according to design specifications and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Additionally, you will prepare reports and presentations on structural designs, testing methods, and solutions to structural issues, providing technical advice to management and other stakeholders on structural matters. Staying updated on the latest structural engineering technologies and industry trends is crucial for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze structural systems for manufacturing facilities using RISA and FEA.
  • Develop detailed structural designs for steel structures, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in RISA, FEA, and other structural engineering software.
  • Extensive experience with steel structures and soil compaction.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
  • Commitment to continual learning and improvement.
