Responsibilities

  • Design foundational and framing structures for residential and commercial buildings, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Generate structural foundation and framing plans in BricsCAD for residential and commercial projects, maintaining high standards of precision and quality.
  • Partner closely with engineers, clients, and drafting teams to gather project information and ensure designs are complete and accurate.
  • Provide support and work both independently and as part of a team under the direction of engineers and project managers to meet project goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Prior civil and structural engineering experience in a residential environment, specifically working with custom home builders, wood framing, and concrete.
  • MUST HAVE either a Texas Structural Engineer license (PE) or Engineer In Training (EIT) certification.
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD, BricsCAD, RISA & Microsoft Office.
  • Strong working knowledge of design codes.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with various teams.
