As a Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our client's engineering team, providing full-service engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCm) services to industrial process manufacturers across various sectors, including pulp & paper, chemical, consumer packaged goods (CPG), food and beverage (F&B), power, and heavy industrial markets. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to manage your time effectively while contributing to significant projects that impact the industry. You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive reports, design criteria, estimates, designs, and drawings that meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Your expertise will be essential in making calculations regarding pressures, loads, and stresses to ensure the integrity of structures. In this role, you will provide technical advice on safe designs and construction practices, ensuring compliance with planning and building regulations. You will liaise with clients and collaborate with professional staff, including architects and engineers, to deliver projects that meet client expectations. Monitoring and inspecting all work undertaken by contractors will be a key responsibility, ensuring that all structural work is sound and adheres to the specified designs. Additionally, you will administer small sub-contracts and manage various structural projects, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively. Your work will also involve inspecting geotechnical properties to evaluate conditions and foundations, utilizing computer-aided design technology for simulation purposes. This position is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and a minimum of three years of relevant experience in industrial structural engineering. You will be expected to have proficiency in software such as STAAD, AutoCAD, and Revit, along with experience in working with steel, concrete, and masonry materials. Your advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations will be critical in ensuring project success.
