About the position

Haskell is seeking a Structural Engineer for our Industrial Design group in St. Louis, MO or St. Paul, MN. In this role, you will be responsible for the production of innovative, appropriate, cost-effective designs, drawings, and specifications in structural engineering for assigned projects. You will maintain professional registration and sign/seal documents prepared under your supervision. Some of the regional clients supported by these offices include Anheuser-Busch InBev, Nestle Purina, 3M, and Ecolab. As a Structural Engineer, you will develop complete structural system designs for various building and construction types of varying complexity. You will coordinate your work with other disciplines and perform interdisciplinary coordination checks to minimize deficiencies, errors, and omissions in drawings and specifications. Site visits will be a part of your responsibilities, where you will prepare observation and follow-up phase reports documenting progress and deficiencies. Additionally, you will review all structural-related testing and inspection reports, prepare budgets for structural work on prospects and proposals, monitor progress, and ensure projects are completed within the stated fee. You will also direct the technical efforts of junior engineers, designers, technicians, and/or interns assigned to your projects.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Master's Degree focused in Structural Engineering (preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, RAM Structural System, ETABS, RISA, and SAP2000
