About the position

The Structural Engineer position involves designing both permanent and temporary structures within the transportation construction industry. The role requires a strong educational background in structural design and a Professional Engineer (PE) license, focusing on various structural projects such as bridges and foundations.

Responsibilities

• Design permanent structures such as bridges, sign foundations, moment slabs, and MSE walls.
• Design temporary structures including formwork/falsework, erection, demolition, and heavy lift planning.
• Plan and evaluate support of excavation systems and load rating of existing structures.
• Conduct temporary bridge and barge analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in designing permanent and temporary structures.
