About the position

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing civil and structural engineering assignments, utilizing your expertise in standard engineering theories and practices. The position requires a proactive approach to planning, programming, designing, executing, and documenting Military Construction (MILCON) projects, as well as sustainment, restoration, and modernization (SRM) projects. You will work closely with the Government Project Manager and coordinate with various stakeholders, including government customers, host installations, architecture and engineering (A&E) firms, and executing agencies. As a Structural Engineer, you will independently develop and supervise the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This involves defining problems, establishing work scopes, preparing budgets and schedules, planning work, providing technical direction, and reporting on work status. Typical deliverables may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses. You will also participate in project planning and design scoping sessions, charrettes, and reviews, providing valuable input and technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and lower-level engineers working on the same projects. In addition to your engineering responsibilities, you will provide construction surveillance and prepare project briefings using Microsoft PowerPoint, as well as draft and review technical reports and documentation. This role is essential in ensuring that all engineering activities align with the project goals and meet the required standards.
