About the position

The position is for a structural engineer at all levels, focusing on structural design duties for a mid-size consulting firm. The role involves working on small to mid-sized projects primarily for heavy industrial clients, with an emphasis on retrofit projects within existing industrial facilities. The position offers growth opportunities, starting with heavy design work and progressing into engineering and project management roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design duties as stand-alone projects or as a project lead on multi-disciplined projects.
• Focus on design engineering for small to mid-sized projects for heavy industrial clients.
• Engage in heavy structural design work, particularly retrofit projects within existing industrial facilities.

Requirements

• Civil/Structural Engineering degree from an ABET accredited undergraduate program.
• Knowledge of basic civil and structural material specifications for material purchase, fabrication, and construction.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Results-oriented and a team player with a commitment to quality.

Nice-to-haves

• Preferred coursework in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, 3D CAD, Advance Steel, RISA 3D.
