About the position

ISG is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their employee-owned firm, where collaboration and creativity are key. The role involves working closely with the Structural Engineering team on various projects, from conceptual design to construction, ensuring high-quality structural solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely on construction plans with clients, architects, and other engineering professionals.
  • Perform structural design and analysis calculations, generating drawings and other technical duties.
  • Calculate loads and stresses on different parts of a structure.
  • Inspect buildings and recommend options for repairs or demolition.
  • Monitor engineering design schedules and budgets.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-discipline engineering teams.
  • Field measure and document existing buildings.
  • Produce and coordinate construction drawings with other disciplines.

Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis, or Architectural Engineering.
  • 5+ years of expertise in building structural engineering.
  • Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of the design standards and codes for public building design.
  • A high level of technical and organizational skill accompanied by strong oral and written communication.
  • Working knowledge of design software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
