About the position

Kimley-Horn is seeking Engineering students for internship opportunities in our St. Paul, Minnesota office. This role is designed for students pursuing an ABET accredited engineering degree, providing hands-on experience in civil engineering design and analysis. Interns will engage with various technical software programs and collaborate on multiple projects, contributing to the planning and execution of engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for various projects.
• Solve complex problems and assist project managers in project execution.
• Collaborate across disciplines to realize clients' visions for the built environment.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and clients' practices, procedures, and standards.
• Learn and apply one or more software programs specific to engineering disciplines, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and/or GIS.

Requirements

• In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
