About the position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Steel Fitter to join our team in Greenfield, NH. This long-term position involves assembling, fabricating, and installing various steel structures and components. The role requires expertise in reading blueprints, utilizing welding techniques, and adhering to safety protocols to ensure the quality and efficiency of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Cut, shape, and assemble steel components using various tools and equipment, including cutting torches, grinders, and welding machines.
• Perform various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to join steel components accurately and securely.
• Install steel structures and components onto site, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and adherence to building codes and regulations.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, compliance with specifications, and adherence to safety standards.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, project managers, and other tradespeople, to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Structural Steel Fitter.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick welding).
• Ability to operate various hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
