About the position
We are seeking full-time experienced structural and miscellaneous steel fabricators and welders to join our team at the Idaho Falls Steel Fabrication shop. This position is critical to our operations, and we need individuals who can start immediately. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year of experience in steel fabrication and welding. Applicants must be able to pass a MIG FCAW 3G weld test and should have specific experience with stair and rail fabrication, which is essential for the projects we undertake. We have multiple positions available, including: - Day crew (7 am to 3:30 pm) at the Structural shop, where candidates will need to pass a 3G dual shield flux core weld test. - Night crew (3:30 pm to Midnight) at the Structural shop, also requiring a 3G dual shield flux core weld test. - Day crew (6:30 am to 3:00 pm) at the Miscellaneous Steel shop, where candidates must pass a hard wire weld test. Wages for these positions will depend on the candidate's experience and their ability to obtain the necessary welder certifications. Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld structural and miscellaneous steel components according to specifications.
- Pass required welding tests, including MIG FCAW 3G and hard wire weld tests.
- Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in steel fabrication and welding.
- Ability to pass a MIG FCAW 3G weld test.
- Experience with stair and rail fabrication.
- Familiarity with various welding techniques and equipment.
Nice-to-haves
- Additional certifications in welding or fabrication.
- Experience with other types of welding such as TIG or stick welding.
