About the position

The Structural Project Designer at Core States Group is responsible for designing and drafting structural engineering projects, working under the guidance of Structural Engineers and Project Managers. This role involves collaboration with various engineering disciplines and requires the production of structural construction documents while adhering to client and code requirements. The position supports the Architecture and Engineering business unit and focuses on projects involving steel, concrete, pre-stressed concrete, timber, and masonry across the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design tasks and reports under the direction of senior staff.
• Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations.
• Generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
• Assist in maintaining task budgets.
• Coordinate and assist with addendums, RFIs, and change orders.
• Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
• Assist senior staff with the project approval process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Focus.
• Knowledge of Structural Engineering Materials & Design.
• Experience with preparation of structural construction documents.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with RISA 3D, MathCAD, Enercalc, and MS Office.
