About the position
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator to join our team at Blue Collar Steel LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling a variety of metal parts, including sheet metal, pipes, and other materials. This position offers an opportunity to utilize your technical skills and contribute to the production of high-quality products. The Fabricator will be expected to work with a range of machinery and equipment, including press brake machines and welding tools. In this role, you will be part of a fast-paced production environment where meeting deadlines is crucial. You will collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your expertise in metal fabrication and welding will be essential in ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and your ability to follow instructions and work independently will be key to your success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate metal parts and assemblies according to specifications and designs
- Operate press brake machines and other metalworking equipment
- Perform welding tasks, including stick welding and FCAW
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Assemble and build metal parts, including pipes and other structures
- Utilize machining skills to produce precise metal components
- Work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Requirements
- Strong experience in metal fabrication and welding
- Proficiency in operating press brake machines and other metalworking equipment
- Ability to perform pipe threading and FCAW welding
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards
- Experience with machining and fabrication techniques
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy materials
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
