About The Position
Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. is seeking qualified Structural Steel Fitters to join our team in the Beaumont, TX area. This position offers challenging and exciting career opportunities for individuals who are focused on project success and exceeding customer expectations. As a Structural Steel Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling metal parts to create finished sheet or structural metal projects. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, as you will be expected to follow all company safety procedures while performing your duties. Your responsibilities will include using various tools such as jacks, pry bars, hammers, saws, welding equipment, torches, files, and grinders to fit parts accurately. The work environment is physically demanding, requiring constant lifting, carrying, standing, walking, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, and twisting. You will also need to frequently climb and kneel, making physical fitness an essential aspect of this role. Effective communication is crucial, as you will need to talk and hear clearly to coordinate with supervisors and co-workers regarding safety and operational matters. Candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural steel fitting are preferred, as this experience will help ensure that you meet or exceed performance expectations.
