About the position

The Structure Lead/Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing team in the construction of structural steel components at the Catoosa facility. This role involves guiding production, managing schedules and costs, and ensuring high standards of quality and safety in welding operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding or fabrication, with a focus on team leadership and production management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing team and coordinate with suppliers for smooth production of structural steel components.
• Work alongside the team on welding tasks to support project goals.
• Create and oversee production schedules to maintain operational efficiency.
• Visit subcontract suppliers to ensure their work meets quality, cost, and timing expectations.
• Ensure the facility and equipment are prepared to meet production demands.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Project Management to streamline costs and meet deadlines.
• Direct and support shop personnel, adjusting staffing as needed to maintain productivity.

Requirements

• Technical degree preferred or at least 10 years of experience in welding or fabrication.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience operating MIG, TIG, or SAW equipment.
• Experience with AWS and CWB standards, welding procedures, and ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Skilled in team management and providing guidance to improve team capabilities.
• Comfortable with ERP systems for scheduling and BOM management, and knowledge of labor and material costs in structural steel fabrication.

• Experience in cross-department communication with sales, quality, and engineering teams.
