Structured Cabling Foreman

About the position

The Structured Cabling Foreman at Superior Communication Services is responsible for leading low-voltage projects in the Raleigh area, ensuring that installations and services meet industry standards and customer expectations. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and managerial skills to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the Director of Operations, Sales team, and technicians regarding project deliverables and planning.
• Complete and monitor project installations and service to ensure they are completed to industry standards and project specifications.
• Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the customer's highest expectations.
• Manage job productivity, material procurement, labor, quality, and safety.
• Roughing in, terminating, and testing copper cabling.
• Install pathway supports such as j-hooks and ladder trays.
• Service/troubleshoot network cabling in a commercial environment.
• Install closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels, and fiber enclosures.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in the Structured Cabling industry
• High school diploma or GED
• OSHA 30 certification
• Technical skills and knowledge of structured cabling systems
• Ability to follow blueprints, notes, and specifications
• Working knowledge of TIA and BICSI Standards
• Experience leading a team on a job site
• Excellent time management, planning, and decision-making skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Nice-to-haves

• BICSI Certification
• Experience with AV and/or access control
• Industry-specific manufacturer certifications and BICSI training and/or certifications
