About the position

As a Structured Cabling Technician at TriagePartners, you will play a crucial role in upgrading client low voltage wiring infrastructure. This position involves a variety of tasks including wire pulling, cable termination, splicing, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will work collaboratively within a team to deliver high-quality services that meet the demands of a fast-paced telecommunications environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, and test low voltage and fiber optic cables including single mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables, coax, and Cat5/6.
  • Dress and route cable into telecommunications closets, through attics, conduit, and between floors into apartments and other work areas as per job specifications.
  • Identify and remove redundant cabling.
  • Install Panduit, conduit, and/or innerduct.
  • Fire-stop various types of cable penetrations.
  • Ensure all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
  • Read and comprehend technical schematics, operation manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedures.
  • Identify color codes for 568A, 568B, 6 strand fiber, 12 strand fiber, 25 pair, and 50 pair.
  • Complete projects within budget, on time, and in a safe manner.
  • Maintain the company's high standards of quality and professionalism with regards to workmanship, customer relations, and team members.
  • Submit all paperwork on time.
  • Adhere to all required project-specific as well as company safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as needs arise.

Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in structured cabling or a related field.
  • Ability to install, terminate, and test low voltage and fiber optic cables.
  • Familiarity with technical schematics and operation manuals.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in cabling work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Panduit and conduit installation.
  • Familiarity with various types of cable penetrations and fire-stopping techniques.
