About the position

Fitch Ratings is seeking a Structured Finance - Credit Analyst to join its Structured Credit group in Austin, TX. As a lead coverage analyst at a global rating agency, you will play a crucial role in aiding debt capital markets by providing timely, insightful, and forward-looking rating actions and research. The role involves analyzing ratings on Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) using proprietary models, preparing and presenting rating conclusions to a credit committee, and drafting rating action commentary reports to communicate rating decisions to market participants. Additionally, you will contribute to recurring and special research publications, enhancing the overall understanding of structured finance in the market. Responsibilities

  • Analyze ratings on Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) using proprietary models.
  • Prepare and present rating conclusions to a credit committee.
  • Draft rating action commentary reports to communicate rating decisions to market participants.
  • Contribute to recurring and special research publications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (finance, accounting, economics, etc.).
  • At least one year of experience in the financial industry, preferably related to CLOs or Structured Finance.
  • Strong analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.
  • High level of personal responsibility, initiative, and self-management.
  • Ability to communicate complex subjects accurately and succinctly.
  • Interest in capital markets and structured finance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of programming languages is a plus but not required.
