About the position

The Structured Product Trading Analyst role at Farmers Business Network (FBN) is an entry-level position focused on trading commodity futures, options, and exotic products. The analyst will primarily work on hedging commercial client transactions while learning about risk management, quantitative pricing strategies, and client servicing in the commodity trading sector. This position offers extensive career development opportunities, with the potential to advance to Associate Trader and eventually Lead Quantitative Trader, emphasizing a strong foundation in mathematics and computer science.

Responsibilities

• Hedging standard daily trade flows and executing brokerage transactions.
• Interfacing with clients to ensure client satisfaction and identify new growth opportunities.
• Running daily risk processes to calculate P&L and risk metrics.
• Maintaining and improving the codebase for automated desk processes.
• Reconciling product pricing, position statements, and valuations.

Requirements

• Firm grounding in mathematics, particularly in basic probability theory and statistical inference.
• Basic fluency in a computer programming language is strongly encouraged.
• Self-motivated with a history of self-guided learning and willingness to tackle challenging projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in computer science or related fields is preferred.
