About the position

SelectTech Services Corporation, a well-established defense contractor with a 40-year history, is seeking skilled Structures Technicians to join our dynamic team in Springfield, OH. As a Structures Technician, you will play a crucial role in assembling and creating major assembly structures and performing minor part-fitting operations. Your expertise will be essential in tasks such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. You will be responsible for aligning parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures, as well as measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. Additionally, you may be tasked with modifying both incomplete and complete assemblies, incorporating necessary changes into the structure, and monitoring quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 5-10 years of experience in performing depot-level structural installations and repairs on large military cargo aircraft. You should possess the ability to understand and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and manuals, and complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch. Experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques, and repair/refinishing, including airframe corrosion removal, is essential. You will also need to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks, and familiarity with the AS9100 Quality Management System is preferred. Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are crucial for success in this role. Additionally, candidates must have their own tools in good working order and be able to qualify for a Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of experience performing depot level structural installations/repairs on large military cargo aircraft.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Experience with structure assembly and minor part fitting techniques.
  • Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience operating within an AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team or independently.
