About the position
The Blinn Ambassador Program is a unique program through which students communicate their enthusiasm about the college. Selection is based on communication skills, academic standing, leadership, composure, responsibility, and availability to perform required tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Provide tours for prospective students and their families
- Speak to school and civic groups
- Assist with advising days and the first week of classes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 2.5 GPA (Submit unofficial transcript printed from My Blinn)
- Ability to communicate effectively to large groups
- Good leadership skills
- Sensitive to individuals who require special assistance
- Value diversity
- Available to work approximately 15 hours per semester
- Must be federal work study eligible
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with public speaking and giving presentations to small and large groups
Benefits
- Flexible work hours up to 19 hours a week, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am - 5pm
