About the position

The Student Ambassador serves as a liaison between their university and Banfield Pet Hospital, promoting the hospital's mission and facilitating communication between students, faculty, and the assigned Medical Director. This role involves organizing campus events, distributing promotional materials, and representing Banfield in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Banfield Pet Hospital in a sincere, professional manner.
  • Proactively promote awareness of Banfield's mission and vision among peers.
  • Assist in arranging campus visits by distributing materials and preparing event details.
  • Participate in presentations on campus and provide follow-up with students.
  • Distribute promotional materials to faculty and students as allowed by school policy.
  • Inform the Student Program team of student activities for potential Banfield participation.
  • Attend Banfield sponsored conferences and educational meetings when appropriate.
  • Maintain communication with the Student Programs team and assigned Medical Director.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Enrolled as a student in a veterinary medicine program at a School or College of Veterinary Medicine.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated organizational ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Client service skills to ensure attentive and courteous service.
  • Basic mathematical ability for computations and conversions.
  • Proficient in using computers and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event planning or coordination.
  • Familiarity with veterinary medicine or animal care.
