About the position

The Student Assistant in Agriculture will perform a variety of tasks in a professional and service-oriented manner under supervision. This role is designed for currently enrolled students who are looking to gain practical experience while supporting the Agriculture department.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks under supervision in a professional manner.
• Utilize knowledge of spelling, grammar, and punctuation in tasks.
• Operate word processing and spreadsheet applications as required.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Maintain good interpersonal relations with peers and supervisors.
• Organize and complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
• Safely operate a motor vehicle to transport students as needed.
• Travel in and out of state overnight when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes.
• Must be at least 20 years of age to drive a van for the department.
• Must have held a valid U.S. driver's license for at least 2 years.
